QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Q: It’s 2013 , and you’re still here?

A: Yes. So is Arne Duncan.

Q: Where did the petition go?

A: The 2013 petition drive has concluded.

Q: Why didn’t you run yout petition using the White Houses website?

A: Because we would have had to sign up for an account there and so would anybody who wanted to sign. We don’t think it’s necessary to offer up any more private information.

Q: Will there be another petition drive?

A: Perhaps. Stay tuned.

Q: Are you aware that there are other anti-Duncan groups?

A: Yes – and good luck to them; the more the merrier.

Q: Who’s in charge of this initiative?

A: Nobody. This is a leaderless initiative .

Q: If nobody is in charge, who is running this website?

A: This website grew out of the Dump Duncan Group on Facebook. The best place to ask is there.

Q: Is everyone on the Dump Duncan Facebook group in favor of this website?

A: Probably not, who knows? Go ask there.

Q: Where do you get your money?

A: There is no money. No money, no affiliations, no sponsorships.

Q: “No money?” That sounds ridiculous. Get real. There’s always money involved, always patronage.

A: Nope, not in this case. If you really want to know more, go join the Facebook group.

Q: Ha! You’re making money by selling crummy buttons and T-shirts!

A: No, we’re not (and that wasn’t a question). All money from the sale of Dump Duncan promotional items goes directly to the publisher, Cafe Press. Neither the initiative, nor any individuals or groups associated with the initiative, receive any money from the sale of these items.

Q: I think education reform is great and I applaud Barak Obama and Arne Duncan and Michelle Rhee and The Gates Foundation and Oprah and I think we’re finally going to get a great education system because these people work hard for the success of all children.

A: That wasn’t a question, however, as an answer – don’t sign the petition.

Q: Your web page is ugly. Can’t you make it look better?

A: No, but maybe you can. Dumpduncan.org runs on WordPress, so just make a mockup, post a link to the Facebook group, and amaze everybody. Get right on it, K?

Q: Where can I get more information?

A: Go to the Facebook group.

Q: I’m from the press, who should I talk to?

A: Go to the Facebook group.
